PEALS
Compiled by Malcolm S Loveday, Tower Captain, February 2005
Analysis of Peals
Notable Peals
Notable peals are a) number 10, Grandsire Triples, rung in 1920, being the first peal rung by a local band, and b) number 24, rung in 1988, Chertsey Surprise Major which is a very difficult surprise major method. Peal number 8, rung in 1914, is also worthy of note since it was one of four peals rung in a single day by the same band.
In addition to the tower bell peals, it is known that at least one hand bell peal has been rung in Chertsey ( see page 10 ) .
Leading Peal Ringers
The following have rung four or more peals on the bells.
