St. Peter's plays an important part in serving, empowering and reaching out to the older folk in the community. Helping them to know what the joy of faith in Jesus in later life can offer them.
Coffee Break
‘Coffee Break’ brings together many older people from the wider community for friendship, care, spiritual nourishment – and cake!
Meeting every Friday morning at 10am – whether retired or not it’s a great place to meet friends, old and new. No church connection required, everybody is always welcome – you’ll find this friendly bunch in the Church Hall, just behind the main church building.
Generations
Generations is our new intergenerational group set up with the intention of bringing together young and old. Meeting on the first Friday of each month, you need neither a baby nor an older person however if you’re one or the other you would be very welcome (though the babies do need to bring their grown up!).
Together everyone will enjoy a light lunch, meet friends, maybe make some new friends, but most importantly it’s an opportunity to bring together the generations. Not everyone has grandchildren near by, grandparents in the area or simply the opportunity to spend time with people of different ages.
